it's the middle of the day, and i have a ridiculous amount of work to do, but what i really want to do is take a nap. so to avoid doing my work, yet not feel guilty for taking a nap, i am instead posting about the recent mullet sighting at duke. ladies, get in line and take a number, hehe. now before you go on a tirade bashing everything about the south in general, you must know that a large percentage of duke students are not from the south. in fact, we are not so affectionately known as the university of new york/new jersey at durham to some of the local yokels, but they all cheer for the fruity colored heels down the road, so you can't expect too many intelligent thoughts from that crowd.
in all though, i've grown quite fond of the south. when initially came out here, the plan was to put in my four years outside of socali and then return home and live the rest of my life in blissful 80 degree weather. but the country isn't such a bad place. sure you run into the occassional confederate flag, but honestly, i spend more time wondering why post-it notes run out of their stickiness after a couple of weeks than i do worrying that the south will rise again. but i digress. my point is that in the two and a half years i've spent out here, i've come to enjoy the scenery immensely. the city life isn't so hot in north carolina, but the country is beautiful. i could live in a house on a large plot of land off a wooded highway. it actually sounds quite enticing, but we shall see what the future holds.
as you can see, sergi and i just had too much mojo for the rams to overcome. and we weren't even trying that hard. we take cash and checks, but you must have a valid reason for cursing your subject, such as the simple existence of ricky proehl (can you tell i don't care for him very much?). in any case, i just wanted to take this moment to gloat in victory over the pretty boys of the nfl......ahhhh that felt good.
ok, gotta go! God bless.
