man i stink!
literally i mean. it's 4:30, and i haven't taken a shower yet. sad huh? but i haven't had to leave the house for any reason other than to sweep up the daggum dates that fall off our palm trees and attract flies, so no real impetus to shower has presented itself as of yet. it will happen sometime in the next hour though, i'm sure.
i'm getting really annoyed that i can't space the 'title' of each post from my posting information. i dunno if that's cuz i'm using a mac vs. my pc or what. the whole posting template on this computer is totally different from what i'm used to, so i'm thinking that's the problem. oh well, i'll fix it when i find a pc with net access.
so i have this whole week off of work, and though i know i should focus on the rest of my support (which i will do) i need to find something to occupy my time. hopefully that something will involve other people. i crave human contact outside of my family. they don't count. something like this last weekend. jen got tickets to the hollywood bowl from her mom's job, so she, kelli, esther, kelvin & i went to see the production called 'espana' (just imagine the tilda cuz it wont load) by the orchestra. i'm not usually into 'classical' type orchestra music, but this was good stuff. they played selections from throughout spain's history, and a flamenco band with dancers came on stage to play with them during the second half. the last song was a really slow waltz type deal, and i was starting to fall asleep but then the fireworks started, so that provided enough entertainment for me. it was quite the enjoyable experience really. oh, and to top it all off, jen, kelli and i had pho for dinner. YUM!
know what sucks about having this week off? reb is in japan until saturday. DOH! that's ok though, my timing has never really been on point, so i should just expect that to happen. and it's not like she had a choice in the matter, but even if she did, she better go. i'd certainly choose 10 days in japan over hanging out with me, hehe.
before i pz, i just wanna give a huge PRAISE GOD to the one & only J.C. this whole support raising for argentina deal wasn't looking very promising, what with me having less than 5k out of the $33,345 that has to come in some way or another for me to go. then He goes and brings in enough to put me at 15k, so i'm almost halfway there. just goes to show, He always comes through when things look bleak. it's better that way though, keeps me where i should be: depending on Him.
ummm....i i think that's all for now. perhaps some political commentary will come later (eventually). y'all take care now. especially reb in earthquake prone japan which has already had two since she's been there! God bless.
sounds: hot hot heat - talk to me, dance with me (cool band, despite their nomenclature)
food for thought: the prophecies of micah - God
