today was an ok day. i got drilled in spanish for not having read the homework for the second day in a row. i don't neglect it on purpose, it's just that i thought we were done with the topic we 'discussed' on monday, so i didn't do any reading for it. little did i know. oh well, ive got the rest of the semester to bring up my participation grade. gotta make sure i stay up on that though. the historical jesus class has become my alotted time for attempting the daily crossword puzzle and talking to ashley (yay for new friends). yesterday i got like 4 words out of all the clues. today i got maybe a quarter of them, so we're making progress.
man, i was so tired today i 'bout passed out in religion. i came back took a two hour nap even though they were pretty much blowing up the street outside. when i'm tired, you can't stop me from sleeping, so don't even try. then, i went with my freshman guys to invite a girls' bible study on a creative date. we did the knights from 'monty python and the holy grail' thing, sans the cocounut, but with a real trumpet. awwww yehhhheeerrrr. i think i need to work on my accent though. i was the only one the girls laughed at when i read my lines, and i don't think it's cuz they were funny. dah well.
cru was fun tonight, and we had a letter writing 'party' afterward to raise money for big break, at which all of three people wrote letters. the rest of the folks there just took theirs and went home. they're no fun. but the rest of us had a good time, reminiscing about the days of yore (elementary school) when we had all the coolest cartoons and staying outside until 11 pm on a summer night was the coolest thing ever. i feel sorry for kids today, cuz their entertainment sucks. pokemon? please. transformers would destroy whatever pikasneeze character you can come up with. and then there was voltron and m.a.s.k. and g.i. joe and thundercats and he-man and the bionic six and the smurfs and fraggle rock (the bizzomb!). SO many good shows, not enough time. wouldn't it be nice to just go back in time and enjoy it all over again? i'm all for it. elementary school and high school were great. middle school, not so much, but that's ok.
now i have 150 pages of reading to do so i can write my paper tomorrow night. bloody hell. time to make like a check and bounce! God bless.
