what a week! and it's barely halfway over, hehe. but the hard part is behind me. i somehow managed to get both papers done for tuesday, despite not starting them until tuesday morning. God is too good to me, but i sure do appreciate it. last night i just crashed, and then again this afternoon, so i feel much better in the sleep department.

a survivor of the auschwitz concentration camp came and spoke in my holocaust class on tuesday. man, talk about sobering. she was great though. serious, but not depressingly so. she told a few jokes too. i read all these first hand accounts for class, but there's nothing like hearing it from a real person. she talked some about sept. 11 as well, and made some very inspiring comments about our generation being the hope of the world. i'd like to think we can do a better job, but this world will never be perfect as long as it rejects the Lord. so i'll do the best i can, and look forward to the day of His return.

no real exciting news i don't think...oh yeah! argentina here i come!! i got accepted to the la plata summer project, so assuming my parents release me from summer bondage, i'll be there for 6 weeks, taking the message of salvation to a nation in turmoil. i'm really excited about it. after this weekend, i was kinda regretting that i didn't put slovakia as my first choice, cuz a bunch of g-burg peeps are going to be there this summer, but at the same time, i think this is where i'm supposed to be. for some odd reason, i'm always the one who has to break from the pack and go do something random. going to a math and science school instead of 'normal' high school, going to duke instead of staying in cali, going to g-burg instead of santa cruz or some other big beach project, and now argentina instead of slovakia. the director seems like a cool dude over the phone, and it'll be a great new experience in trusting the Lord, since i'll be in less of a comfort zone than i would in slovakia with people i know. but G-Cru is #1 in my heart forever. i love 'em and no one in this world will ever be able to take that spot. ok, that's my G-Cru love for the day. i still haven't recovered from the reunion, but i don't want to :)

ummmm, yeh. dude, john mayer is going to be performing at duke on friday night. awwww yehhhhers!!! i don't know how long he's been around, but i hear he's starting to get some radio play. i don't listen to the radio out here, so i wouldn't know, but he deserves it cuz he's real good. tickets were free for students, so i got one and and extra one for kelly, cuz she's wanting to see him and we haven't hung out in a while. i just gotta find a duke id that looks somewhat like her, and we're good to go, hehe.

ok, gotta call home and get some sleep. check yo'self before ya wreck yo'self! God bless.

sounds: john mayer - back to you
food for thought: the face of battle - john keegan
