it's been a month of barely made deadlines and blissful strolls on the beach talking to drunken strangers about God. and now i'm bored on a friday afternoon. what's the deal?!? i should be productive right now, but i'm at that stage where i'm too tired to concentrate on reading something heavy, but i don't want to go to sleep cuz i gotta find a way to wes' pad at 7 for the gathering of saints...plus me, hehe.

man, i've missed doing this. i always think about typing something, but it only occurs to me to do so at 3 in the morning when i have a paper due the next day, so i decide against it. inevitably, i end up going to bed without starting the paper, and then somehow completing it in the three hours between the time i wake up and the time it's due. you know you've found your calling as a history major when you can write 5 page papers in 2.5 hours (while having read two books the night before).

spring break was cool beans y'all. big break with crusade in panama city beach, florida: you need to be there. pcb is like THE party spot during spring break, apparently for everyone east of the mississippi. i met people who drove 32 hours from north dakota. apparentlly they have a lot of time on their hands. anyway, the main part of the conference consists of going out on the beach and talking to random people about, and hopefully being able to share the gospel with them. an intimidating task to be sure, especially if you have pride problems with your rep (like i tend to), but somehow God was still able to use me, and i got to have awesome conversations with 6 or 7 guys throughout the week. all that plus i got to bond with my freshmen and see chrissy and erica. yay!!

i think my favorite part of the big crusade conferences, other than bonding with God and all my peeps, and seeing G-Cru folks, is getting to meet new people. everyone is so friendly, and it's so easy to say hi and talk. you've got to try very hard to not make friends at a place like that. sometimes i feel bad for just running off with new friends and neglecting my duke peeps, so this time i made a concerted effort to be around at night. not that they aren't fun, cuz i had a blast with all my duke people. i just get easily caught up in befriending new people, so i have to work at not forgetting who i came with. does anyone else have that problem?

hmmm, so much to write, but i think i'll break it up. gotta go meet moonbeam at the bus stop anyways. check y'all and God bless.
