pssst....oi!
dude, i am now an expert on the biological differences between men and women, as well as everything there is to know about the military operations of the gulf war, iraq's nuclear program, and saddam hussein's rise to power. ok, not really. especially not the former, i still have and inverse understanding of the opposite sex (basically that makes me retarded when it comes to women), but i rest easy knowing that of the 8 hours walsh & i spent watching tv yesterday, only 2 of them were watching football while the other six were spent viewing educational programs such as 'the science of the sexes' on the discovery channel and about four hours of history channel programs dealing with various aspects of recent iraqi history that have direct implications concerning current events. i learned things like guys are better at driving/parking because our brains are better at spatial recognition, but women are better at multitasking because their brains can recognize the overall picture while guys focus on one particular task. and it's all scientific, so you can't get mad at me for saying it either ;) quite interesting stuff really, but i don't think we'll be doing another tv marathon any time soon.
well, mlk (pronounced milk) day has come and gone. a bad thing about having four day weekends (how could that possibly be bad?) is that holidays such as this one that would usually extend my weekends are even more meaningless now that they don't even affect my schedule. aw, who cares? i'll take my weekends, hehe. oh! and sorry to the dudes and dudettes here about the non-existant pancake dinner thing. i procrastinated, as usual. we'll do it some random weekend, doesn't have to be a holiday, cool beans?
so today i got up and chilled with the Big Guy for a while, then there's a two hour time slot i can't account for, so hopefully no one asks me what i was doing between eleven and one today cuz i wouldn't have a good answer. later i went to every barnes & noble and any other bookstores i could find within a 15 mile radius looking (unsuccessfully) for this colloquial spanish dictionary i thought i needed, only to find out 15 minutes ago that the one i really need has been at every store i went to. if you understand what i just said you'll realize that this means all that searching was a waste of time. if you don't understand what i just said, raise your hand. the positivity ofthis all is that i finally got some job applications from southpoint while i was out, so maybe i'll have a second and/or new job soon. i am reminded, however, of how much i hate filling out job apps. oh the monotony!
well, i think i'm gonna crash early tonight 1) for lots of sleep and 2) so i can get up early and buy the dictionary i really need so i can do my homework before class tomorrow. but before all that, it's time to finish off that durn STINT app once and for all so i can settle this argentina thing. one last thing. a special grita a mi amiga mar en cuernavaca, mexico. i don't even know if you ever read this kid, but i hope you're having a great time down there with your "new" little sister. enjoy the food and bring back some recipes, yeh? gonna miss jokin with ya this semester but it seems aim works down there as well so all is not lost. anyways, if you're readin this, much love. and i'm on the flip.
