poor paul
hey buddy, you get a special holla today. i'm sure you know it's all fun and games (no one got their eye poked out, right?). just know that anything you say in response is free game and, much like my little sister, you will never win a war of words with me. so beware the consequenes, hehe. you know, if you would take time out of your oh, so busy, life and start updating on that page again (but without terrets syndrome typing, that gives me headaches) you could get back at me with some fictitious stories of your own. at least i'd have something else to read. just know that there is a line you dont cross (and i know you know what i'm talking about), or i will have to lay the smack down again. man, all this trash talking brings back memories of post semi-formal crashings at the gerk's. those were the days, eh?
well, after 31 hours of bus travel (including a 3 hour break in tucuman capital) i'm now in the city of cafayate, salta, which is a province in the northwestern corner of argentina. in case you're wondering (as i often do) what the heck would drive me to spend such an inordinate amount of time on an overcrowded, oven roasting bus full of babies who cry all night and puke on hoskins (who then decided to sit next to me because i love that smell so much!), it's because i've come here to take part in vida estudiantil argentina's winter missions project. we brought a bunch of food and clothes to give away to folks who live up in the mountain pueblos around cafayate and don't have a whole lot of anything at their disposal. while doing that we'll try to take advantages of opportunities to share about our God of abundance who provides for all we need, and just try to generally demonstrate the love of Christ while we're here. i'll be here for at least two weeks, and i'm considering staying for a third. we'll see how roughing it in the mountains wears on me.
as much as i'd like to update often while i'm here, from what i've learned up gonna be up in my particular mountain pueblo base the whole time i decide to be here, so that would put my chances of having net access on the far side of slim to none. it's a shame too, cuz i've recently had an abundance of posting ideas (that's not something that happens often, in case you were wondering) but i'll probably forget them all before i get back to la plata. i'm not really one for keeping lists, in case you haven't noticed. even when i do, i forget that i have a list, so it kinda defeats the purpose, no? at least i got some film for my camera, so hopefully i can bring back some great pictures.
that's it for now. paul, either give me something entertaining to read or continue providing me with postworthy material. this has been fun. catch y'all on the flip.
